You've decided to book the Tokyo Disney Vacation Package but are unsure of the best strategy to secure your desired package. Here are some tips and tricks for booking your vacation package.

Vacation packages are generally made available about six months before your intended check-in month. I say generally because the release date can be adjusted at any time. To find out when bookings will open, visit the Tokyo Disney official website and click the orange "Reservation & Ticket" icon at the top.

At times, you might encounter a queue to access this part of the website during peak traffic, as people are booking reservations for restaurants, hotels, or packages. Please be patient, and you will eventually gain access.

When it's your turn to access the site, you'll encounter a page resembling the one shown above. By selecting the information list, you'll receive all significant announcements occurring at Tokyo Disney park. This section was previously used to announce the availability of new vacation packages. However, since they removed the Fantasy Springs pass from the package options, this information has been relocated to a small section beneath the main image. Can you spot it?

If you blink, you might miss the link.

This page provides all the details necessary for planning your Disney Vacation package. Previously, when the Fantasy Spring pass was available, they released one month at a time approximately six months in advance. However, it appears that this restriction has been temporarily lifted, allowing you to book without a specified end date.

However, let's consider a scenario where there is a limited time available for booking.

The announcement was made just one week before the booking date, so it's crucial to regularly check the site for updates. You need to make your booking on December 5 at 3 PM Japan Standard Time, ensuring you adjust for your time zone. This booking window is exclusively for May. If you're looking to book for June, you'll need to wait until late December or early January to find out when those bookings open.

On your booking date, you will click om the upper right orange icon and then select vacation packages. Ensure you have multiple devices ready, such as your phone, iPad, computer, or a second computer. I recommend logging into the site about 30 minutes before the official start time. For example, if the start time is 3 PM JST and you are in Florida, log in at 1:30 or 1:45 AM EST (the queue will begin at 2 AM EST that same day). The goal is to join the queue precisely at 2 AM or immediately after.

I strongly suggest doing a few practice runs by "reserving" for a different day to get accustomed to the booking process when arranging a vacation package. Keep in mind that the site may be somewhat slow, and you won't be able to proceed until all options are chosen. Knowing everything you need to select in advance will help you navigate the booking process more quickly.

Considerations when booking a vacation package:

1) Which hotel would you like to stay in? Consider both cost and distance. Choose the hotel where you feel most comfortable.

2) Which package do you prefer? Currently, Tokyo Disney offers 3 vacation package options, but keep in mind that Tokyo Disney frequently changes their offerings, so this information might change.

3) Decide which fast passes you want. I would suggest picking a time arbitrarily since you can always modify the time later.

4) Decide if you want to book any restaurants. You should know what you want to reserve before entering the queue, as restaurants fill up quickly. The ability to make a reservation when booking the vacation package is fantastic. Most reservations are not released until 1 to 2 months before your trip, but with a vacation package, you can reserve 6 months before your check-in date.

It's important to frequently visit the Tokyo Disney website for updates when planning your vacation package. Remember, the site undergoes daily maintenance from 3am to 5am JST. While these packages are more expensive, they can save you time and minimize stress. In the end, whether or not you opt for a vacation package, the main objective is to enjoy yourself!
